Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Kantumantu ("Kantumantu," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the Kantumantu website and application at https://kantumantu.com (the "Service"). Kantumantu is operated by Kabeeta Bhatta Pandey, an individual developer based in Nepal.
1. Who we are
Kantumantu is a tool for creators. It lets you connect your own Instagram account and your own TikTok account, see which of the videos you have already published on Instagram are not yet on TikTok, and post a video you choose to your TikTok account after reviewing the caption and TikTok post settings. Kantumantu only works with content from accounts you own and connect yourself.
- Operator: Kabeeta Bhatta Pandey (individual developer)
- Country: Nepal
- Contact email: support@kantumantu.com
2. Information we collect
2.1 Kantumantu account information
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. We also store a session identifier so you stay signed in.
2.2 Information from your Instagram account
When you connect Instagram through Instagram's official login, we receive an access token and your Instagram user ID and username. Using that token, we read the list of media you have published on your own account, including captions, publish dates, thumbnails, permalinks, and the video files you choose to post to TikTok. Where Instagram makes them available under the permissions you grant, we may also read view counts for your own videos.
2.3 Information from your TikTok account
When you connect TikTok through TikTok's official Login Kit, we request the following permissions and use them only as described:
- user.info.basic: your TikTok open ID, display name, and avatar, so we can show which TikTok account you are posting to.
- video.list: a list of the public videos on your own TikTok account (captions, durations, publish dates, and links), so we can show which of your Instagram videos are already on TikTok and avoid duplicate posts.
- video.upload and video.publish: to upload and post a video to your TikTok account, but only after you open the "Post to TikTok" screen for that specific video, review the caption, choose who can view it, choose your interaction and disclosure settings, and press Post.
We also store the TikTok access and refresh tokens needed to keep your connection active, and the creator settings TikTok returns at posting time (such as available privacy options and maximum video length).
2.4 Publishing history
For each video you post, we keep a record of the source video ID, the resulting TikTok post ID, the caption or title, the posting status, and the time, so you can see what you have already posted and avoid posting the same video twice.
2.5 Contact and support information
When you contact us through the contact form or by email, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and message.
2.6 Technical information
Our hosting provider may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps when you visit the Service. See our Cookie Policy for information about cookies.
3. How we use information
We use information only to:
- Create and secure your Kantumantu account
- Connect your Instagram and TikTok accounts and keep those connections working
- Show your own Instagram videos next to your own TikTok videos so you can see what is not yet on TikTok
- Post a video to your TikTok account when you explicitly request it, with the caption and settings you choose
- Show the status of your posts
- Respond to support requests
- Prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations
We do not use your Instagram or TikTok data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models. We never post to your TikTok account without your action, and we do not schedule or bulk-post content.
4. How video files are handled
When you press Post on the "Post to TikTok" screen, the selected video is downloaded from your Instagram account to our server, uploaded to your TikTok account through TikTok's Content Posting API, and then the temporary copy is deleted from our server as soon as the upload finishes or fails. We do not keep a permanent copy of your video files. Kantumantu does not add watermarks or logos to your videos.
5. How information is stored and protected
Account data, connection tokens, cached media metadata, and publishing history are stored in a database on our hosting provider's servers. Access tokens are used only by our server to call the Instagram and TikTok APIs. All traffic to the Service uses HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only:
- With TikTok and Instagram, as needed to perform the actions you request (for example, uploading your video and settings to TikTok)
- With our hosting provider, which stores data on our behalf
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and others
7. Third-party platforms
Your use of Instagram and TikTok remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies. You can revoke Kantumantu's access at any time from your Instagram or TikTok account settings, or by pressing Disconnect on the Kantumantu dashboard. Kantumantu is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Instagram, Meta, TikTok, or ByteDance.
8. Data retention
- Temporary video files are deleted immediately after each upload attempt.
- Connection tokens are kept while the connection is active and are deleted when you disconnect that platform.
- Account data, cached media metadata, and publishing history are kept while your account exists and are deleted when your account is deleted.
- Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request.
9. Deleting your data
You can disconnect Instagram or TikTok at any time from the dashboard, which deletes the stored tokens for that platform. To delete your Kantumantu account and all associated data, email support@kantumantu.com from the email address on your account. We will delete your account, connection tokens, cached media metadata, and publishing history within 30 days and confirm by email. Videos already posted to TikTok remain on your TikTok account and can be managed or deleted in the TikTok app.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@kantumantu.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
11. Cookies and analytics
We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and the Service working. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
12. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and you must meet the minimum age required by Instagram and TikTok to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
Kantumantu is operated from Nepal, and our hosting provider may process data in other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the new version at https://kantumantu.com/privacy-policy. If changes materially affect how we use TikTok or Instagram data, we will notify you by email or in the app.
